- Softball at the Beach Players and Coaches Clinic - January 9-11, 2009
- The "Softball at the Beach" Coaches Clinic, now in its 7th year, has become well known for featuring some
of the best coaches in the nation. This year's lineup is no exception, as it once again features Coach
Mike Candrea of the University of Arizona and the US Olympic Softball Team. This is a tremendous
opportunity for high school and travel ball coaches to hear outstanding college coaches talk about pitching,
hitting, fielding, throwing, motivating players, etc. Questions are encouraged, as the setting is
informal. Players are also encouraged to participate in the Players Clinic on Saturday, January 10,
where they can drill with and receive pointers from college coaches and players. The players clinic is
directed by Scott Whitlock, Head Coach of Kennesaw State University. Information regarding the coaches,

- SOFTBALL COACHES' CLINIC - January 24-25, 2009

- The East Carolina University softball staff will be conducting a
2-day coaches' clinic for anyone interested in learning more about the game of softball. The 2-day breakdown
will include:
Preparing an Infield Defense
Building Blocks for the Complete Hitter
Intelligent Defense
Intelligent Hitter
Success through Conditioning
ABCs of Pitching
Essentials of Catching
- and much, much more.
We will cover all aspects of the game and will provide you with some new and fresh ideas on practice planning,
game strategy, and teaching mechanics. This clinic is open to coaches/parents of all levels. The clinic
will be a unique format by offering a lecture session on Saturday from 9:00 to 4:00 and then an observation session
from 4:30 to 6:30. Sunday's lecture session will be from 12:00 to 3:00 with the observation occurring from
3:30 to 5:30.
